Services

Two disciplines, one engineer's mindset.

Everything below is delivered with the same rule: if it isn't documented and observable, it isn't finished.

Network consultation & engineering

From "why does the Wi-Fi drop in the back office?" to a designed, segmented, monitored network.

  • Audit & design — topology, addressing, VLAN/segmentation, guest isolation
  • Deployment — UniFi, Juniper, MikroTik, managed switches, access points
  • Wi-Fi coverage & roaming done properly (survey, channels, placement)
  • Remote access — VPN and Tailscale, with sane policy
  • Monitoring & alerting — know before your staff do
  • Change-safe rollouts — plan, window, rollback, change log

Automation & integration

Repetitive work turned into scripts, schedules, and self-healing checks you can read.

  • Python / Bash / Ansible tooling written to be handed over, not hoarded
  • Device & vendor APIs — SNMP, UniFi, Junos, HTTP/webhooks
  • Scheduled checks, drift detection, self-healing remediation
  • Alerting where you already are — email, Slack, Telegram
  • Reporting & documentation pipelines (auto-generated, versioned)
  • AI-assisted operations — real checks and actions, not chat theatre

How we work

Assess. Design. Build. Hand over.

  1. 01

    Assess

A short, honest look at what you have: topology, devices, pain points, risks, and what's worth keeping. You get findings in plain language — whether or not you hire us.

  2. 02

    Design

A concrete plan: target topology, segmentation, addressing, Wi-Fi, access policy, automation opportunities, and a phased sequence you can afford.

  3. 03

    Build

Deployment and automation with change-safe rollouts, tested before it touches your business hours, and monitored from day one.

  4. 04

    Hand over

Documentation, runbooks, and dashboards your team (or the next engineer) can actually use. Optional ongoing support if you want us on call.

What you can expect

  • One accountable partner. No finger-pointing between vendors.
  • No lock-in. Your gear, your data, your documentation.
  • SMB-sized, enterprise-grade. Right-sized design, not a showroom.
  • Automation by default. If it happens more than twice, it gets a script.

Our own platform

We run this on BareNOC.

Ridge Chapel Tech builds BareNOC — a self-hosted network operations center for small teams: live device health, automated checks, update management, and an AI operator that runs real diagnostics instead of guessing.

It's the discipline we bring to your network, productised: monitor everything, automate the boring parts, document what's left, and make the state of the environment obvious at a glance.

  • Self-hostedYour data stays on your hardware.
  • Real automationChecks, updates, remediation — with an audit trail.
  • AI operatorRuns diagnostics and works tickets, with guardrails.

About

Small team. Sharp tools. No drama.

Ridge Chapel Tech is a network engineering and automation practice for small and mid-sized businesses. We've spent years in the unglamorous parts of IT — cables, VLANs, Wi-Fi that drops at 4pm, backups nobody tested, scripts that save fifteen hours a month — and we're allergic to the "we'll take it from here, don't ask questions" style of vendor.

Engagements are scoped, priced up front, and finished when you have working systems, documentation, and a way to see what's happening. We're also the team behind BareNOC.
